Safiyah has a BA in Psychology and Education from William Paterson University, a MA in Educational Administration, School Principal and Supervisor Certification from Rutgers University, a Masters of Education and School Superintendent Certification from Columbia University and is in her final year of Doctoral work in Organizational Leadership at Columbia University Teachers College.
At age 25, Safiyah became the youngest school Founder, Principal, and CEO in the state of New Jersey upon the founding and development of an environmental themed high school, acquiring over $3,000,000 in revenue. Since, she has proudly watched her vision of high expectations, environmental service and sustainability become a reality. Following this initiative Safiyah became one of New York City's Assistant Superintendent's overseeing the evaluation of the city's1700 Public Schools and supporting school principals in their mission of ongoing school improvement.
Today, she has taken on a variety of projects including consulting with the United States Department of Education assessing hundreds of charter school proposals and quality, working with Columbia University coaching principals to enhance their leadership practices and supporting Entrepreneurs in developing and launching new educational ventures.
