Course Description

Would you like to be able to step in front of a camera or webcam at any moment and deliver a confident and engaging presentation?

Do you feel in your bones that putting yourself forward would help your brand, whatever that might be, but you're just too embarrassed to try it?

"Many useful tips. Paul's presenting style in the course works well and provides a good example of a personable and authentic low key style. Good tips on cameras and microphones as well."

This course tackles something that ought to be simple - that can turn out to be quite complex - but which is an essential skill in today's communications and marketing world:

Presenting.

The ability to reach out and touch audiences through personal presentation skills, especially on camera, is pretty much the most powerful thing you can do regardless of your field of activity.

"The course was direct and meaningful. I have taken many Udemy courses and I find the value in this course to be at the highest level......I love this guy!"

Therefore, whether you be a filmmaker, marketer, sales person, press officer, advocacy practitioner, online course maker or one of a zillion other profiles that can employ video to great effect - this course is going to be of huge benefit to you.

Many courses about presenting either take a die-cut approach - for something which is anything but this - or are too fluffy and hard to action.

"This is just a great course. Tips to captivate the audience is a lot like playing golf... so much to know, so much to do, and all at the same time. It's a learning experience but a very worthwhile one. Thank you, Paul!"

Captivate Your Audience takes a step by step approach, but it's not didactic.

The whole point is to harness your energy and inherent skills, and transpose them through to your audience in the most powerful way possible.

"Great information within - I feel better prepared to make videos. Interesting suggestions. Easy to follow course. No BS. Visually the lectures all look the same (he explains reasons why ) so I multi-tasked and cleaned, listened and noted down key points."

Step inside this course, and learn a skill that without doubt will serve you for many years to come.

Instructor Biography

Paul Jenkins, Film Director & STORYOPTIC.com Chief

Effective and creative storytelling is an essential part of success in many walks of life - and fun when you do it right, because you feel the 'flow'.

Film and video techniques and visual storytelling can add much to your overall creative output, and be highly satisfying and impactful arts in their own right.

The techniques I teach, I use daily as a professional documentary film director and online business owner.

In my courses, you'll get insights, strategies and tactics that I've developed over 20+ years while making films for the world's top broadcasters (BBC, PBS, ARTE etc), and concurrently over the past 3 years as an 'edupreneur'.

My teaching style is to guide you through the processes that matter - explaining why they matter - in a personal, 'fireside' fashion.

You also get direct access to me through the Discussion area of each course. This means that any challenges or questions you have can be resolved directly.

I'm very open to feedback, therefore please feel free to feed ideas for lectures and courses to me and I'll do my very best to accommodate.

See you inside the courses!

Paul
