|Section 1: About me and what you can expect from this course.|
John Hannah previously worked in corporate as a Business Analyst. He has taken a journey over the past 12 years and developed in and experienced the world of personal development. John Has worked as a performance practitioner, therapist and now trains others to achieve the same goals.
John has trained in Neuro Linguistic Programming, New Code NLP, Hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Eye Movement Therapy, Emo Trance, Family Constellations and he is currently studying Yoga Nidra.
This course uses 3 exercises that engage your three main senses. See, hear and feel. Whilst you engage in these activities you train your mind to relax and be calm.
|Section 2: Peripheral Vision.|
|Utilising your peripheral vision, engages the para-sympathetic system. The para-sympathetic system is one of two halfs of your autonomic nervous system and is responsible for the 'rest and digest' or 'feed and breed' processes. This basically means it is involved with creating relaxation in order to complete it's function.
The other half of the autonimoc nervous system is the sympathetic system. The sympathetic system is responsible for stimulating your filght or flight response.
In this video I'll teach you how to engage your peripheral vision.
|Section 3: How the sound element works?|
Using your own voice to quieten the ever present internal dialogue is an age old technique. Normally called a mantra ...we will use a simple count.
Of course if you'd like to employ a mantra that you know from some other training, this would also work.
In this video I'll teach you how the Mantra part of the exercise works.
|Section 4: Feel your breath.|
Getting out of your head or being detached or dissociated is one result of stress. Focussing on and feeling the breath, is fantastic way to get back into your body. This can aid relaxation.
In this video I'll teach you how the physical part of the exercise works.
|Section 5: Putting it all together.|
In this video I run through the whole process for you. You can listen to my instruction until you can do the exercise off by heart. I'd say it will only take a couple of goes.
