Meet me, the instructor and lets get started.
Welcome to Photoshop CC: Easy Business card design for Beginners.
On the first lecture I want to get you comfortable with Photoshop before we begin. We are going to look at some basic tools and shortcuts on Photoshop CC. We will be focusing on the tools that are required to design a business card. You may skip this lecture if you have some basic ideas about Photoshop and not a complete beginner.
So lets get started.
So lets get started without business card.
In this lecture we'll learn how to setup bleeds and safety margin for our document.Which is a required document setup if you want to sell your designs online.
I will be adding a template of the business card with the margins added, which means you may skip this lecture if you want to go straight to designing the business card. Although it is recommended that you learn how to set the margins up first.
This quiz will help you remember the dimensions required for the bleed and safety margins
On this lecture, we are going to roam around the world wide web to look for some existing business card design to get ourselves inspired. So lets get to it.
On this lecture, we are gonna get familiar with fonts and icons. On the resources I have added some basic icons and fonts that we are going to use on our design for the course.
Lets get familiar with placing the icons on the business card that really brighten ups our design and how to use the text tool to put in our information.
Now comes the most fun part. On this lecture we are gonna let our creativity flow and use the pen tool, use shapes and manipulate shapes to design our card. So lets get to it.
Now that we are done with front of the card, lets look at the back of the card. Back of the card can be used as a new canvas to express our design a bit more and give our card some edge.
On this lecture we are gonna learn how to make our card presentable. Through a mock up we can show how the design will look like once its printed out.
On this lecture we are going to look at some printing effects such as spot uv, die cut, emboss/deboss etc to make our card look more fancy.
Congratulations, you have reached the end of the course. Hope you had fun and learnt a new skill.
As a thank you, I have added some business cards templates that I have designed during my early years of graphic designing to help you out. You may experiment with these templates and have fun with them.
Thanks and I will see you on my next course.
Hi, I have been a graphic designer on the side for two years now and started making my living out of it from the second year. I specialize in print designs, game graphics designs etc.
I find interest in gaming ( league of legends ), reading business books and I am also a musician. I have always loved teaching the skills that I learn my self to others and want to get better at it. I love sharing my knowledge and make it understandable to absolutely anyone. I hope you find my courses useful and valuable.
