I highly recommend you watch this video from Simon Sinek if you haven't already. If you have watched it and it's been a while - watch it again. This video really drives home the point of how important your WHY is.
This is much watch video - take time right now to watch the short or the long version.
Here are three signs that you have a poor "why" or no "why" at all. See if these symptoms are showing up in your business.
The easiest way to learn how to create a powerful WHY is to see an example. In this lecture I will share with you my WHY and give you examples of how it plays out in everything I do.
Now it's your turn. Journal WHY you are in business. What is your purpose for starting a business. We will be diving deeper into the topic but I want you to get your first thoughts down now. Only spend about 5 minutes on this because we will be digger deeper in the next few lectures.
There are two types of "why's" and we are going to dive deep into each one. In this lecture we will touch briefly on them and the go deep in the next few lectures.
Fulfillment WHY's are very powerful and are the driving force behind your business. Get these "right" and you will be unstoppable.
Go back to your journal where you wrote out your initial WHY and start to deconstruct it. Add logistical WHY's and look for fulfillment WHY's that are hinted at in your first journal entries. Start to flesh out your WHY. Use the attached note sheet to guide you.
Use the attached two worksheets to help you with your WHY exercises. Be sure to download both to see the two different sheets.
In this lecture we will discuss the two keys to identifying who your ideal client is.
If you resist identifying your ideal client, this lecture is for you. In this lecture we will give examples of who uses niches and how it works for them.
Many people resist defining an ideal client because they want to have a really big "playing field." We will discuss how this works against you and give you examples of how defining your ideal client works really well.
In this exercise you will use what you have learned to narrow down your focus and get very clear on who it is that your business exists to serve.
Now we can start to put together your skills, your audience and your mission to come up with services and programs that your audience will love.
Now it's your turn to take a close look at WHAT you will be offering your clients. How will you solve their main problem in a way that is aligned with what they want and your mission.
Download this worksheet or preview and write the answers in your journal.
In this lecture we will go over what a Strategic Action Plan is and why it will help you.
The first part of your Strategic Action Plan is establishing your goals. There are criteria you will want to make sure that each of your goals meets.
Now that we've set a goal, it's time to dive down and list all the actions that need to be completed to achieve that goal.
The final step of your action plan is creating your marketing plan. Without a marketing plan all of your hard work will go to waste.
Now it's your turn to create your Strategic Action Plan. Use the worksheets in the next lecture to help you brainstorm ideas.
In this part of the planning exercise, you are going to start to put your ideas into order as far as what needs to get done first and determining how much time you actually have to get tasks done.
These are two quick photos of my calendar tool. I use the circle on the left for tasks still to be done. The week calendar in the middle is for tasks that are in progress and the day that I plan to do the. The circle on the right is for tasks that are completed. So anytime I look at my calendar I get a visual view of how far along I am.
In this section you will learn why measuring your actions and your results is so important.
In this section we will also focus on what to measure and how to identify the "busy traps" in your business.
In this lecture we will focus on the best systems to use to track your progress.
In this exercise you will set up your first tracking system. Keep in mind that this system will evolve as you go. Strive to simplify what you track as much as possible.
This is a quick go-to resource to remind yourself of what the key elements of a strong business foundation are.

This is your personal invitation to "idea storm" with me. As a bonus for completing this course, you have a chance to work with me one on one.
Here are other resources you may find interesting.
I love being a “rebel with a cause." My whole life I have “fought the system." I don't believe in doing things the way they've always been done unless you give me a darn good reason why.
Even as a child, I fought my religious upbringing because it made no sense to me why going to a certain building on a certain day and listening to the same words over and over was a good thing. If it doesn't make sense, then don't do it!
That doesn't mean I am without beliefs because I have plenty of those. I just don't believe anyone can tell me the right way or the wrong way to express them.
For example, I believe corporate America was built by men and will be destroyed by men. Women have better things to do than buy in to the rules of the corporation and better aspirations than the corner office.
As women, we have a natural ability to lead, create and nurture. It is in our nature to collaborate and create businesses in which everyone wins and no one loses. I believe in embracing my nature and doing work that I love that helps others in the process.
You will see that W.O.O. Women is an extension of me and my passion for personal expression. I hope you will take the time to learn about the Women Helping Women Community and join us in designing ideal lifestyles.A Little Bit About Me
I am a 360-degree coach. I am trained as a health, life and business coach so when I work with you, I can provide you with insightful coaching that takes into account all aspects of your life.
Often, struggles in business are a reflection of struggles at home. When your personal life is out of “whack" you will find it shows up in your business and your health. These three aspects of you – life, health and work – are so closely tied together that improving one area will also improve the other two.
I am also a mother of two, a wife of one, and a chauffeur of many. Like you, I wear multiple hats and juggle responsibilities with making time for myself and staying healthy.
