This course covers assessment practices for educators that use multi-modal learning and assessment to improve student success. The course will be delivered to the standard expected in teacher education PD and include such terminology including: curriculum, rubric, assessment, learning styles, criteria and, education.

This course will be structured into sections focused on:

  • Understanding different learning modalities
  • Creating assessments that work with multiple modalities
  • Assessing students to highlight successes and make improvements on weaknesses

This course is packed with content to help you get through including: readings, video lectures, quizzes and a practical project.

This course is designed for those who already work as an educator (at grades; including tertiary and vocational) and those who are studying to work as an educator, to better understand how to assist students through developing assessment items that improve student success in their dominant learning area and highlights specific areas for improvements in the students weaker modalities.

The course should take approximately a week to complete at a minimum.
