Georgette Rowland Osborne is Director of the Financial Gym and Precision Services Virtual Bookkeeping. She creates products, services and resources to reduce financial stress and increase financial confidence for entrepreneurs.
She has been featured in and writes for a number of large publications. She also hosts the Firmer Figures Show podcast
Her book - Firmer Figures - Fess Up or Mess Up is a guide to help entrepreneurs’ spot financial warning signs in their business.
She enjoyed an amazing corporate career with a portfolio that included Bank of England, Merrill Lynch, NM Rothschild, NatWest Bank, and ironically the Inland Revenue and HM Treasury.
While still a child, her businessman father died without his affairs in order; then her stepfather abandoned them when she was still a child. Her childhood was spent watching her highly intelligent mother be let down financially by the men she trusted. Georgette vowed never to rely on anybody for her financial stability. Unknown to her she would make bigger mistakes.
Her journey to overcome financial loss led to a whole new life. This fueled her mission to reduce the number of entrepreneurs that go bust due to lack of clarity about their true financial situation. But in particular, through lack of support.
Financial Gym provides tips, tools, training and unbiased advice to enable entrepreneurs to know their money better. The goal is for them to have more confidence in their future.
She also believes that the accounting profession needs a shake-up. Entrepreneurs need to stop feeling stupid because they are not financial or accounting experts, but be educated about what they do need to
Her true passion however, is empowering women around the world to educate themselves to be financially independent. She believes that this is also a route to creating better lives for our young people through example.
