Today – we will define the following as:

Vision: An aspirational description of what an organization would like to achieve or accomplish in the mid-term or long-term future.

Mission: A statement of the purpose and its reason for existing. The mission statement should guide the actions of the organization, spell out its overall goal, provide a path, and guide decision-making. It provides "the framework or context within which the strategies are formulated." It's like a goal for what they want to do for the world.

Purpose: A purpose statement is a declarative sentence which summarizes the specific topic and goals.

The next exercise is to list your passion, experiences, talents and skills.For this exercise, we are defining those terms as:

Passion: things you are inspired toward (purpose)- This are things that you can’t help but accomplish because your are driven to do them.

Experiences: developed after you are born through time – This are things that you can’t help but accumulate. The act of living will create your experiences.

Talents: things you are naturally gifted with (internal) – These are things that come easily to you because they are inherently in you

Skills: things you develop outside of you; by doing and practice (external)

Since skills is the only one of these 4 that are external (something you develop outside of you) - your life will be much easier if you continue to develop skills that align with your talent and passions.
