Instructor Biography

In edition to developing her work independently, Rachel has studied art at institutions such as School of Visual Arts, Society of Illustrators and the New York Art Students League. Her work experiences with letterpress printing and book arts studios like Purgatory Pie Press and the Center for Book Arts in Manhattan as well as Classic Letterpress in Ojai, California have helped her further develop her skills and techniques in this field. As an artist, she focuses primarily on book arts, printmaking, and drawing. She finds the process of bookmaking very rewarding for its concrete and tactile qualities and is eager to share this joy with anyone who is interested in learning.
