In this course you will learn all about the fire and smoke simulation in Blender! In the first couple sections we discuss the domain and how to change the settings to get exactly what you want. Then we move onto the flow objects (the objects and emit smoke), the smoke and fire materials, sparks and more.
After we have gone through the settings and what each one of them do we will be creating 3 different scenes and animations using the smoke and fire simulation. The first one is a smoke animation. In this tutorial we create a swirly smoke effect using a curve.
The second tutorial is an explosion. Everyone likes watching explosions so we use Blender to create our own explosion effect using the fire simulation! And finally the third tutorial will be low poly fire. This one we don't use the fire simulation but a particle system and a fancy material to get a really awesome effect. If you are wanting to learn more about Blender's Smoke and Fire Simulation or if you just want to improve your skills in Blender this course is for you!

This is the intro/promo video for the Blender 3D Fire and Smoke Simulation Complete Guide!
In this video I show you the very basics of blender and the short cuts that we will be using throughout this course. If you are completely new to Blender this course might be a little hard for you but this video will help!
In this lecture I show you the basics of what you need for a fire or smoke simulation in Blender!
In this video I show you a very easy way to set up a smoke simulation using the quick effects option in Blender!
In this video we start talking about the domain and how the density can effect how the smoke behaves.
In this video I show you what the smoke flame settings do in our domain and how you can get really high flames in Blender!
The adaptive domain option can save a lot of time when baking in your scene. It is very useful and in this video I show you how to use it!
Realistic smoke is hard to achieve sometimes but with High Resolution turned on in the domain settings this will help it look much more realistic!
In this video I show you what the smoke groups are and how to use them in Blender's smoke simulation!
In this video we talk about the baking cache and why it's important in Blender!
In this quiz you will be asked a series of questions about the domain settings in the smoke and fire simulation!
In this video we take a look at the flow object for the smoke. It is a pretty long video so make sure you are taking notes because I talk about a lot of things in Blender!
In this video we talk about the fire flow type in the smoke simulation. It is very similar to the smoke type with 1 different, the flame rate.
Collision objects can be very useful and in this video I show you how to use them in Blender!
Outflows are not used that much but they can help when used right.
In this quiz you will be asked about the flow types in the smoke simulation in Blender!
This article is a link to an hdr that we use in this section!
In this video we talk about the smoke material and how to change the color and the density in Blender!
In this lecture we talk about the fire material and how to make it look really cool in Blender!
In this video I show you how to add sparks to your fire with a particle system. We go into detail on the settings of the fire for the most realistic results and then we create a new particle system and set the particles to follow the smoke!
In this video we create the material for our sparks and fire. We use a node called the Dot Product and I show you how to use it correctly in Blender!
In this video we render out the animation we created in the last couple videos and then sequence it out using the video sequence editor in Blender!
In this video we start modeling the curve for our animation and then set a uv to follow that curve in Blender!
In this video we set up the simulation and for our smoke in Blender!
In this video we set up the lighting and then render out our animation!
In this video we set up the scene by adding in the explode modifier to a UV Sphere, animating it and adding in a plane to catch the particles.
In this video we simulate the explosion and set up the settings for our domain!
In this video we set up the materials and lighting. We finish it off by doing a little bit of tweaking on the render settings and then click animation!
In this video we sequence out our explode animation using the video sequence editor in Blender!
In this video we create the particle system for our low poly fire and then we add a texture to determine the size.
In this video we create the material for our particle using the particle info node and a color ramp in Blender!
In this video we do the lighting for our scene and then render it out in Blender!
I started doing graphic design and 3D renderings about 5 years ago. About 2 years into it I started my own Youtube channel which I upload tutorials. The programs that I mostly use are Blender 3D and Photoshop.
On the side I am doing freelance work and photography. Recently I have been focusing on creating online courses which I have been really enjoying. Currently I have over 400 students and it is growing everyday.
