Years of my experience in overseas Bible missions, to hostile and anti-Christian territories, are brought to you here for your convenience and edification. This course will ALWAYS BE FREE.
This course will explain how to understand the true context and meaning of God's Word so that one can conduct a proper and accurate personal Bible study on their own.
First we will conduct a quick lesson on how to gain a complete CONTEXTUAL understanding of scripture passages in a manner God intended for the message to be received, not in a manner the reader, or someone behind a podium, wants to receive it.
Secondly we will breeze through some online tools (free & no registration required) that will assist you on gaining true perspective of a passage as it relates to the time period, audience, and cultures in which it was written, and how we are to apply it to ourselves now.
The core of this course is to teach you an easy 1-2-3 step method of studying the Bible in a manner that will give you better understanding, meaning, and life application. This is not a 'Bible in a year' plan. This is a 'Know The Bible & Its Message' plan regardless of how long or quick it takes you to read it.
If you need a Bible. Send me a message with your address and I will ship one out to you...for free. Its a nice Bible too. It's a ministry my wife and I conduct.

Students will gain an understanding on how to obtain an accurate contextual picture and derive the true meaning of an Old Testament passage by understanding the history and culture of the society to whom it was written.
Students will learn how to avoid pitfalls in misinterpreting Bible passages. Students will also determine true context and compare it to how how a non-contextual interpretation of it will skew accuracy.
Students will gain an understanding of the culture and society from which the New Testament was written. With this understanding students will able to apply the accurate cultural setting to the passage in order to unlock its true meaning.
Students will learn how to apply their understanding of accurate historical context to a passage in the Bible to gain true meaning from it.
God's has a message for you and the rest of humanity. Learn the importance of accurately deciphering that message and the harm that other people's misinterpretation of God's message can cause.
Based on the previous lectures students should be able to identify by which historical context a book of The Bible is to be interpreted.
Extra-biblical prefaces or forwards should not be taken as doctrine. However, we can use them to gain an understanding of cultural and historical settings of Bible passages to gain true context and meaning.
We shouldn't be interested in what the footnotes say about a verse as much as we should be about what the VERSE says about the verse in light of God's message with it. However, we can use footnotes to help us when we're stuck, or to corroborate what we have learned about the meaning of a verse through proper study of its context. This lecture describes how.
Here students will understand what a footnote looks like, hot to use it, and where it is located in their Bible.
Earlier in the course we discussed a tool I use to assist me in gaining a true context in which a verse or passage was written. This lecture goes into detail how and why you use accurate meaning of Hebrew and Greek words, as they were intended in their historical setting, in order to derive its true meaning as it relates to you today.
The quick 1 - 2 - 3 technique for reading the Bible at your own pace with maximum understanding and life application.
Using my Bible as an example...students will gain an understanding of the 3 step technique to reading their morning scripture.
Using the technique outlined in this course, students can apply it to the interaction they have with scripture. Whether its in a church, on a bumpersticker, or anywhere else in public. Students will have the advanced skills required to determine truth in context, and learn what scripture is saying, what it means, and how to apply it.
Identify the 3 steps in this Bible study technique.
Understand that there are forces that will always try and distract us from the truth in context, and blind us from the things that are truly important in God's eyes, and in our lives. Know that 'trinkets' and distractions (cell-phones, social media, television, and other 'toys') are placed in-front of us to distract us from fulfilling our divine purpose in the LORD and for His kingdom.
