Private Equity (PE) is not something you can learn at university, yet you find it everywhere. Kraft-Heinz (yes, the ketchup brand!), ARM Holdings, which makes the chips that go into most smartphones including those produced by Apple and Samsung, and Versace are all owned in whole or in part by PE firms, with more deals being made everyday.
Whether you are in finance, business, economics, or even law, a solid grasp of PE is essential in today's corporate world, and this course will help you get started. It is structured over five bite-sized lessons that you can watch on-the-go, and totals 25 minutes in pure content, with a quiz at the end to ensure that you understand what you have learned about PE.
I am a PE professional with over 20 years of experience from all sides of PE, Venture Capital (VC) and Mergers & Acquisition (M&A). I've been on both ends of the table as investor and investee, and now I aim to share my knowledge with young professionals like you. With this course, I am putting PE in a simple and easy to digest way so that everybody can learn about PE.

I am an international Investment Professional with extensive experience in private equity investment and regional expertise in Southeast Asia. My wide range of exposure includes setting up private equity funds, fund raising, structuring and negotiation of transactions, due diligence processes, valuation, modeling, portfolio monitoring, operations, legal and investors’ relations.
As the Advisor for the Cambridge University Venture Capital and Private Equity Society (CUVCPES), I spoke at their launch event in St John's College, Cambridge, on November 30, 2016 to give an introduction to the world of private equity to eager minds.
Funds I have worked with Aureos Capital and Abraaj Capital as an Investment Principal, leading an investment team. Aureos has managed 21 funds with over 150 institutional investors, and recent successful exits have realised IRR of 30% and cash multiple of more than 2x. One of the key investments I made was in 2010, in a family-owned hypermarket business, which saw an IRR of circa 31% and cash multiple of 3.75 times at exit in 5 years.
With the vast investment experience that I have, I am now interested to impart my knowledge to the younger and budding generation. I am also available for group or private coaching.
