This yoga practice is specifically designed to de-stress and relax you, in other words to pacify the movement, anxiety and overwhelm of vata out of whack. The asanas (postures) focus on balancing the home site of vata, the colon and keep you close to the earth to ground you. Madhuri is an internationally known Yoga teacher certified Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist (CAS) and Pancha Karma Specialist (PKS), receiving certification from the California College of Ayurveda and the Bihar School of Yoga, India as well as advanced study with Dr. Vasant Lad. Madhuri is a certified Bio-Energy Practitioner, a head faculty member of the Langara College Yoga Teacher Training, Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and teaches Ayurveda in the Spa Therapy program at the College. She is a radio host for Drishti Point Yoga Radio and the co-organizer of the Vancouver Ayurveda Meet-Up Group. Her Ayurvedic practice is located at the Chopra Yoga Centre, Vancouver. Madhuri has shared her knowledge and wisdom with students and clients across North America, England and in India for more than a decade. Through her own 7 year illness and un-diagnosable health challenges she decided to take her healing into her own hands, study Ayurveda and assist others with this wisdom to transform their health and wellbeing.
