This yoga practice is specifically designed to de-stress and relax you, in other words to pacify the movement, anxiety and overwhelm of vata out of whack. The asanas (postures) focus on balancing the home site of vata, the colon and keep you close to the earth to ground you. The pranayama (breathing) practice focusses on bringing balance to the two hemispheres of the brain, calming the nervous system and helping you to focus and relax. Practice this class anytime you've burnt yourself out, need to calm down, reduce insomnia and stress or to prevent any of these things from happening! As fall is the vata time of year this class is wonderful for anyone no matter what your specific dosha in the autumn or simply to slow down and wind down.
This yoga practice is specifically designed to cool your mind and body. If you’re feeling overheated, intense, judgemental, angry or ‘fired up’ in any way, this class will reduce your inner heat. Focusing on pacifying pitta (fire dosha) this class will sooth and relax you, bringing you back in alignment with your inner wisdom and truth. The asanas (postures) focus on balancing the home site of pitta, the small intestine, cleansing the blood and keeping you relaxed and calm. The pranayama (breathing) practice focusses on cooling the mind and the body temperature. Practice this class anytime you're feeling overheated, agitated, angry, inflamed or are challenged with acid reflux, acne, burning indigestion or other heated symptoms. As summer is the pitta time of year this class is wonderful for anyone no matter what your specific dosha in the summer or simply to calm down and chill out.
This yoga practice is specifically designed to invigorate and energize, leaving you feeling uplifted and balanced. If you’re feeling heavy, dull, slow or lethargic in the mind or body this class will enliven your energy. Focusing on pacifying kapha (earth and water dosha) this class will warm you up, burn away complacency, fatigue and stress. The asanas (postures) focus on balancing the home site of kapha, the stomach, lungs and chest. The pranayama (breathing) practice focusses on cleansing the sinus area and third eye. Practice this class anytime you're feeling lethargic, unmotivated or are challenged with excess weight, sluggish digestion or a cloudy brain. As the end of winter and spring are the kapha time of year this class is wonderful for anyone no matter what your specific dosha in late winter/ spring time or simply to energize and invigorate.
