This easy to learn course will introduce ANYONE to the precision drawing tools within Autocad to create beautiful and accurate imagery that can be immediately used in Illustrator, Photoshop, 3DS Max, and many other commonly used programs. I have used Autocad extensively for all types of design tasks throughout my career and many graphic designers have asked me (after watching me work) to tailor a course to THEIR needs by creating a customized course that would show them how to use this powerful software for their needs and give them an edge in their field.
I took on this exciting challenge as there is a great amount of depth to the software but in essence it is a very simple program to use. After running through all of the tools and techniques for several months looking for the most immediately useful and design-oriented tools I have come up with this clean and concise course on Autocad giving Graphic Designers, 3D artists, 2D drafters, Concept artists, interior designers, or even budding engineers a quick-start into using Autocad to draw accurate and scaled designs and patterns. These designs and patterns can then be imported into many design programs or even directly output to a 3D prototyping machine or laser/CNC cutting table.
This course is a simple itroduction to the interface and helps everyone configure their version of autocad as this course will work for people running version 2000 and later. This is needed because there are differences in how each version may look on first start.
I added this as a sub lesson because it is very easy but VERY important.
This Lesson will introduce you to a handful of tools that we will use throuought the course.

After many years of diverse professional experience Christopher Avina has amassed a broad array of skills including mastery of a long list of the most used software available. With a strong focus on design, Christopher has aided many designers, entrepreneurs, instructors, and students with his ability to find the “shortest route” solution and what software, hardware, and skillset would work best for a particular task, product, or business. Creating art, design, and 3D engineering drawings all in the same day, Christopher is always flexing his skills to improve his understanding of design and product development, and is always learning the latest tools and software to keep on top of the curve. Looking at the tight job market and saturation in the Design fields Christopher Avina sees the need for skill diversity amongst designers and is developing novel and refreshing ways to offer these skills through Udemy and put all of his skills, tricks, and techniques to some good use for designers everywhere.
