Katherine is a qualified accountant with ACCA, and for the last 12 years has been working as an accountant helping small businesses stay compliant with HMRC and Companies House as well as offering business advice on marketing issues, ecommerce, social media, and general advice on how to grow a business.

Previous to becoming an accountant Katherine had a 10 year career in Retail Management, working for C&A, Mothercare and Primark, and has a 2.1 honours degree in Retail Management, and Diploma in Logistics.

She is the owner of Beacon Accountancy & Tax Ltd since 2013, and The Business Pod Ltd since 2015.

The aim of The Business Pod is to educate, motivate and inspire small business owners to take action in their business to help them become more successful, one element of which is to offer online courses to help new entrepreneurs set up their business and then help them grow it.
