Choose a release date which is now Friday's for new albums. It used to be Tuesday's but they have recently changed it.

In prepearation for album launch make sure you upload your album way in advance and apply to be part of the iTunes feature with TuneCore in your specific genre.


Planning ahead and getting your album featured on iTunes requires a lot of planning. Here is the link to submit your album for feature consideration:


Upload all of your songs to YouTube as well as Full album Video so people can stream the whole thing.


Lyric Cards are a great way to promote on social media. Take each one of your songs and grab 2-3 lyric phrases and make a lyric card for each. If not every song at least the singles.

Here is my advice when hiring a radio promoter.

Send email to your list of subscribers. Once in the morning and once at night. Resend the next day to all the people that didn't open the email but change the subject


Record the dozens of podcast interviews to go live the day the product launches.


Promote on all your social media accounts. YouTube, Facebook Pinterest, Twitter,


Try to schedule these ahead of time but any big stations do the day of and promote album giveaways etc. Speak to your radio promoter about this.
