    NOT for beginners

Although in the description said it was for all levels it was certainly not for me, a true beginner. I ended up watching videos in youtube trying to fill in the gaps from the lessons in this course. Also, I didn't like that the instructor seemed uncomfortable with my asking so many questions in the course and invited me to send him an email instead. I must say he was quick in replying. His Customer Service receives 5 stars, but when I asked him if we could skype so I could ask all my questions he apologized and said no. I guess I'm spoiled by so many absolutely awesome instructors here that have actually offered to get in touch with me to answer my questions without me asking for further contact so his answer seemed rather rude. So, since I found the description of the course to be misleading (this is not for all levels, at least not for true beginners), and since he did not agree to help me further by skype (it just takes too much time to write, especially when his answers tell you to do something but doesn't tell you how to do it) I give him two stars. It took me a while to write this review due to lack of time, but here it is. The only reason I bought his course was because I had bought a previous one and I liked his style, of course that one was for a Mac so I was not able to use it. He does not get a one star because, as I said earlier, he does seem knowledgeable and, at least, replied to my questions quickly. I can't finish the course because I can't even understand how to do it. I have to have time to find support from youtube videos at the same time that I watch this one. So if you are a true beginner this course is NOT for you. When I finally go through teh whole course I might come back to raise the stars. I think once I know where to find things I will find this course very useful, but, for that, I will need help from youtube.

Useful course to get experience with a broad range of features

I completed this course while editing a travel video. This course helped use both basic and more advanced techniques to make a great video. I found the level of information (~3 hours of video lectures) to be just about right for what I wanted. Thanks for putting together this course, Phil!

The course achieves what it sets out to do which is to teach you the basics.

I have found that this course covers subjects that can be found on YouTube and other places on the web for free. However, this course organizes it and gives you a structure to follow which is good and also teaches a wide range of skills to use the program. Phil seems like a great guy who is genuinely happy to teach you skills to use Premiere Pro so it's kind of hard to pick on the the shortcomings of his presentation skills and also because in the end you you still learned. Phil sometimes struggles to remember the correct terminology which isn't too bad because I always knew what he meant but I think it may get confusing for a complete noob. The content is good and I feel confident that the skills taught will set the student on his or her way to mastering video editing but 3 stars for now but I think with the addition of new content or the revising of existing content will earn this course more stars from me in the future.

Good Foundation for Learning Video Editing Concepts

I have years of experience editing video. A lot of concepts I already knew, but I didn't know how to figure it out with Adobe Premiere. This course helped me bridge that gap. I only gave 4/5 stars because I was hoping for a little more advanced topics and tutorials. But this is still a good overall course. Thanks
