Implementation of the “Dialogue of Civilizations” program is closely connected with inter-confessional dialogue that brings together representatives of world religions to face the global challenges of extremism and terrorism.

Fred Dallmayr is Co-chairman of WPF "Dialogue of Civilizations" and Packey J. Dee Professor in the Departments of Philosophy and Political Science at the University of Notre Dame.

Chandra Muzaffar is both a social activist and an academic. He is the President of the International Movement for a Just World (JUST), an international NGO based in Malaysia, which seeks to critique global injustice and to develop an alternative vision of a just and compassionate civilization guided by universal spiritual and moral values. Prof. Muzaffar is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Malaysia Foundation.

The World Public Forum is a deliberative-consultative body that unites into a single network various international and national nongovernmental organizations.

WPF is in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2013.

Prof. Dr. Fred Dallmayr , Co-chairman of WPF "Dialogue of Civilizations"

Fred Dallmayr is Co-chairman of WPF "Dialogue of Civilizations" and Packey J. Dee Professor in the Departments of Philosophy and Political Science at the University of Notre Dame.

He holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Munich (1955) and a Ph.D. in political science from Duke University (1960).

He has been a visiting professor at Hamburg University in Germany and at the New School for Social Research in New York, and a Fellow at Nuffield College in Oxford. He has been teaching at Notre Dame University since 1978. During 1991-92 he was in India on a Fulbright research grant.

Dr. Hans Köchler is University Professor and holds the Chair of Political Philosophy and Philosophical Anthropology at the University of Innsbruck, Austria.

He is the founder and President of the International Progress Organization (I.P.O.), an NGO in consultative status with the United Nations, and a member of the International Coordinating Committee of the World Public Forum “Dialogue of Civilizations.” Dr. Köchler is the author or editor of numerous articles and books, including Democracy and the International Rule of Law; Global Justice or Global Revenge? International Criminal Justice at the Crossroads; and World Order: Vision and Reality. He serves as editor of the series Studies in International Relations and member of the Editorial Board of several journals, including Hekmat va Falsafeh (Wisdom and Philosophy) (Tehran) and the Indian Journal of Politics.
