One of the biggest challenges that continues to discourage steady weight loss is: the scale.
When the scale doesn't reflect as much as you expect, doesn't show a loss at all – or even worse – reflects a gain, this can easily be the final straw in your weight loss efforts causing you to get off track once again.
This course identifies how to understand your body's natural weight loss patterns and examines 7 common reasons that the scale doesn't reveal your true efforts.
Learn to Work With Your Natural Weight Loss Patterns to Reach Your Goal Weight
Get to Know Your Body for Smooth, Speedy and Less Frustrating Weight Loss
Frustration is the number one reason that diets, exercise programs and all other weight loss efforts fail. When you work hard to eat right, exercise and make drastic changes to your lifestyle - you expect to see results.
The sad thing is - often it is not your fault. You may be giving up when there is an easy fix or explanation.
There are 7 factors that can cause drastic effects on the scale including slow progress, no loss, or even drastic gains. Before getting frustrated it is important to know and understand these 7 factors and determine if 1 or more of them is acting as a barrier between you and your results on the scale.
Depending on which factors are affecting you there are things you can do to combat them and see your full weight loss more quickly and easily.

A little more background information about Kerri Gaither, a dedicated weight loss coach and the instructor of this course.
Every person, depending on their lifestyle, body type, genes, schedule, routines and preferences will have different weight loss patterns show on the scale. It is important to understand and identify these patterns to keep from getting frustrated before the scale reflects true weight loss. Managing expectations can keep you from expecting results more quickly than they should actually be showing and stay motivated through any and all 'waiting-periods'.
Stress causes a surplus of the hormone cortisol which can reflect as water weight on the scale. It is important to always evaluate your current level of stress and understand how it may be reflecting on the scale (and in particular - avoid a snowball effect of additional 'scale related stress'!)
Print and answer these questions to help you identify your current stressors, what you may be able to do about them and how to balance out other areas of your life to counter-act the stressful areas.
The body can retain water for numerous reasons. It is important to try and identify when this is happening as well as do everything in your power to counter-act the effects. At the very least, knowing that water weight is showing on the scale, wait to weigh and avoid frustration over the number on the scale!
Hormones play a very large roll in the way the body operates and the number that shows on the scale. Identifying a high level of hormones at any given time can help you to know when is best to weigh and what you are seeing on the scale and why.
It is important to check the side affects of any medications as well as talk with your doctor whenever medications are presecribed to see how they may affect your weight loss.
When your body is ill or injured it will use everything in it's power to heal. During this time, you may not see accurate results on the scale due to swelling or other complications. It is important to place getting better at the top of your priorities so that you get back to healthy weight loss.
Sleep plays a larger roll in weight loss than most think. Sleep is the body's chance to rest and rebuild. Sleep keeps the body's chemicals balanced to help you stay happy, healthy and in control of your hunger and eating style. Without enough sleep all of these chemicals and processes are out of balance and your weight loss can veer off track very quickly. Learn how to develop healthy sleep patterns that appropriately re-boot your body for rapid weight loss.
Learn ways to get enough sleep and improve your sleep for rapid and healthy weight loss.
Air travel causes water retention and a change of routine can disrupt the body's natural weight loss patterns. It is important to keep your travel schedule and natural routines in mind to know how they may be reflecting on the scale.
