Lindsey Torbett, CPA, CFP
Lindsey Torbett is a financial coach, and investor. With more than 30 years' experience in accounting, tax planning, financial and business consulting and coaching, He has developed a unique set of skills in financial analysis and advice. At the age of 45, he sold his interest in the CPA firm he founded to focus on coaching and investing. He has helped launch and invested in more than 20 companies, including a bank with more than $1.5 billion in assets, and is an active real estate, venture capital and common stock investor. Torbett has been involved as a coach or adviser in business deals and investments totaling more than $500 million. A CPA and Certified Financial Planner, he is active as a director and audit committee chair of Red River Bank. A former member of the Alexandria City Council, he has been active on many non-profit and government boards. He currently serves as the Chair of the Alexandria Civil Service Commission, and as president of the Board of Eden Condominiums, in Perdido Key, Florida. An Instrument rated pilot, he loves to travel and fly fish. He is married, and has two grown children; a lawyer in DC that works for USCIS in the Political Asylum division, and a son who is a film editor in LA.
He recently authored the book, "Five Steps to Financial Freedom -- A Guide to Leading a Financially-Fulfilled Life ".
