Section 1: Introductions and Expectations

In this introductory lecture, I introduce myself, talk about success, and discuss how I have applied the method taught in this course.  I also ask students to introduce themselves: their name, where they are from, and a little bit about their background or what they hope to get from the course.

The material taught in this course is not something that can be mastered in an hour.  This course simply teaches a decision making tool and introduces several areas where this can be applied.  Using this tool takes practice, and for most people, will not be as simple as flipping a switch.

Section 2: Question 1: What Do I Want?

This lecture discusses success and provides tips on how to set goals and define success.

There are Seven Areas of Success that anyone can achieve in their life.  These Seven Areas are introduced and defined in this section.  The Seven Areas will be used in later lectures of the course.

This brief lecture summarizes what was covered in the previous 2 lectures and prepares students for Question 2: What is the cost?

Section 3: Question 2: What is the Cost?

This short lecture introduces the student to the fact that there are costs to practically everything, including things that are "free."  The lecture serves to prepare students' mindset for the costs that will be discussed in the upcoming lectures.

This lecture introduces the 4 types of costs that will be used in the remainder of the course: Monetary Costs, Time Cost, Opportunity Cost, and Hidden or Implied Costs.

This lecture revisits the Seven Areas of Success that were introduced earlier in the course.  The instructor points out potential costs and uses examples to give students information on how to identify the costs for success in each area of success.

This brief lecture summarizes what was covered in the previous lectures in this section and introduces students to the final question: What is the cost?

Section 4: Question 3: Am I Willing to Pay the Price?

This lecture not only introduces the third and final question, it also provides the student with foresight and encouragement to prepare for the necessary changes and inevitable challenges that will come with pursuing success.

Section 5: Course Summary

This lecture reviews the 3 Questions, the Seven Areas of Success and the 3 C's.  Finally, the instructor provides two examples, one simple and one complex, of how he has used the method to make decisions in his own life.
