Create 3D logo text in Maya using the text tool, adjust settings in the channel box and attribute editor, and apply bevel geometry to the 3D output.
Navigate a 3d logo scene with orbit, pan, and zoom to inspect angles, then modify bevels via channel box and attribute editor by adjusting bevel width, depth, and extrude distance.
Design a 3D logo in Maya by creating letters and a heart symbol with the text tool, bevel and extrude settings, and precise move, rotate, and scale in two-dimensional views.
Apply shader materials to a 3d logo in Maya using Lambert and Blinn, add color and textures, and render while editing material attributes for iterative comparisons.
Apply normals to clean shading artifacts with the set normal angle tool in Maya, then map textures using planar UVs and ramp shaders to create varied materials.
Apply lighting and place a background plane to render the 3D logo on the floor, then create and look through a camera and use the resolution gate for previews.
Create lights in Maya using a point light, adjust color, intensity, and decay, enable shadows, and perform test renders to develop a three-point lighting setup for a 3D logo.
Polish the final logo by applying a bevel Blinn material to bevel faces, adding glow, and fine-tuning lighting; render with final gather and save as jpeg.
Adjust exposure and gamma to fine-tune a render, then compare Maya software with Mental Ray for more photorealistic results using final gather for a polished logo.
Save the maya scene as your final iteration to preserve the project and enable later edits, then render and save a color managed jpeg image to share the logo.
Now that you have completed your project, you can show it to your friends and family to see and give you feedback to improve your work. Also we recommend to keep practicing by designing logos for your friends name/ companies.
