Section 2: The Rules Of Sacrifice

One of the biggest ways to lose time is by watching TV. Generally you will find most people you talk to could have some sort of conversation with you about the latest TV shows that are popular.

In general I believe TV can be huge time suck, I've watched others literally consume 4-5+ episodes in a row on a weekend like it's no big deal.

Using the time you would have spent watching TV you could be doing something more productive to benefit yourself in the long run. We will dive more into this later in the book.

I agree if you were to completely go cold turkey with TV you might find yourself without much of any leisure time to relax during the 30 days so my suggestion in this case is to at very least limit yourself.

I'd say being that it's 2015 most people should understand by now that eating junk food is not a good habit to have.

My go to food has always been pizza, it's so easy to just call up the local pizza shop and have them deliver right to your door.

When you eat better you feel better, you will have more energy and motivation to be productive. There are literally endless reasons you should eat better.

I'd also recommend giving up bad drinks like soda and to start consuming a lot of water during the day. I usually use something like Mio to give the water some flavor. After doing this for a few months you will find that if you try soda you will feel gross every time you drink it.

That's right, for the next 30 days you won't be watching any porn. I highly recommend for support on this topic you check out the NoFap community on Reddit full of people who are going through this.

I personally did this for 30 days and found myself waking up with more energy and just overall feeling a lot better about myself. I found that when I watched porn I'd get really lazy a lot of the time and skip out on things that are important such as working out.

Honestly I know it sucks, but if you can make it a habit of going to bed by 9-10pm at night and waking up at very latest by 7am you will start to see how much more you can get done in your day.

I used to work a job with a 11am-8pm shift, I'd constantly be going out to the bar, going to bed at 3am and sleeping in as much as possible. The problem was I was wasting my days away without doing much of anything productive.

If you can even wake up by 5:30am you will start to see how much more time you have for doing things like making yourself breakfast and working out before you go off to work.

I'm sure your thinking at this point.. WHAT? Cold showers!?

Yeah I thought it was insane too, but I tried it for 30 days and there are some benefits to it. The biggest benefits that I saw were increased energy in the morning and it seemed to help me get through the "nofap" part of rule #5 by subsiding symptoms of blue balls.

Some tips: I would turn on the shower, test the water with my hand and then jump in only letting my waist and under get exposed to the water.

I'd then use soap on my entire body and quickly get my back, move out of the water and then quickly get the front of my body while at the same time shampooing my hair really fast. This way you are in and out of the shower as quickly as possible.

I'm making this optional for the challenge but I highly recommend at very least trying it, maybe do it for 3 days and see how you feel after. If you think you can keep going than go for it!

Section 3: Daily Habits To Challenge Yourself

So in addition to making sacrifices for the next 30 days I've also included some habits that you can follow daily to really boost your results.

Exercising daily has tons of benefits. I personally am a huge fan of programs like P90X or Insanity. At the time of writing this I'm actually going through Insanity: Max 30 which is a newer program.

Other options:
-Doing a running challenge for 30 days.
-Find a 30 day fitness challenge
-Brisk 20 minute walk every day

Get creative, seek out forums, search around Google for fitness plans. Just make sure it's something you can stay consistent with.

I tend to be the type of person who let's things get slightly messy and I eventually go nuts and just clean everything. If your living in a clean and organized environment your just going to feel better about your surroundings, feel accomplished and just overall enjoy living in your home more.

Write down a list of the tasks you can do, it could be daily or maybe every few days. Here is an example of tasks I do on a regular basis:


-Empty all trash containers
-Clean Upstairs Computer Room / Office
-Clean Bathroom
-Clean Bedroom
-Clean Laundry
-Fold Laundry
-Do Dishes
-Cut Up Cardboard (From Amazon packages mostly)
-Clean Cat Litter (Clean up after pets)
-Vacuum Upstairs
-Vacuum Downstairs

Simple right? Just make a list and get it done when you know these things
need to be taken care of.

Take some time each and every day to make a list of goals and tasks that you know you can be working on. This could be anything from a simple task like washing your car or learning a new skill.

I use Evernote to track all of my "to do list" tasks and goals each and every day. Creating this course for example is currently on my list, as I make progress I just mark off each task and specify the day or time frame I want to complete each item.

I used to think this was lame, out of high school I would never read books or honestly much of anything besides my Facebook wall. I started reading at least 10 pages of a personal development book each day and it's really helped to get my mind flowing with positive thoughts, help me build confidence and help me understand how I can achieve more success in my life.

I'd say make it a goal to at least complete one book within the 30 days. If personal development is not your thing, than at very least take the time to find something you can do on a daily basis that is going to put you in a positive mindset.

Section 4: Focus, Mindset & Becoming an Entrepreneur

So granted this program is all about a challenge, I wanted add this section as more of a means to thinking outside of box.

When you look around and talk to most people in your daily lives you will see how accustomed most people have become to working a 9-5 job with a slow path to success.

4 years ago I started to become interested in the idea of making money online and wanted break free from being someone who was merely content working a job for the next 30+ years. Since then I've taken it upon myself to build various streams of income online by taking massive action at first and then letting my websites earn me passive income without doing a whole ton of work.

Some examples of these:

-I started a Podcast and did over 80 audio interviews with really successful online marketers such as Pat Flynn of The Smart Passive Income blog.

-I built an SEO and web design business working with Insurance agencies

-I started an Amazon affiliate eCommerce store that earns me passive income every month.

-I built a music video blog monetized with Google Adsense.

-I started offering services on Fiverr.com earning me $100+ each month for doing simple tasks.

During the 30 days you may think to yourself.. what the hell am I going to do with no TV, no video games, no drinking etc?

Take it upon yourself to think outside the box, you will have the time to learn a new skill, write a Kindle Book, create a course on Udemy, start a business etc.

Now is the time.

This is how I spent most of my time when I did my challenge and gave up my most consuming time waster which for me was video games.

During the next 30 days use this time to focus more on yourself. I know this is not a dating guide but for those of you that are single there is probably a pretty good chance you are on Tinder, Plenty of Fish, OkCupid or some other popular dating site.

I used to spend hours and hours each week messaging women on dating sites, meeting women and going on dates without much really happening. I was always pushing myself to find a relationship when I really didn't have my own shit together.

I finally decided to really work on myself and completely forget about women for a while. During this time here is what I ended up doing:

-Saved lots of money
-I bought my first home
-Got a job promotion
-Started making online income
-Hungout with friends and tried to network and meet people outside of the internet as much as I could

Guess what happened? I met a girl without even putting much effort in, it just happened unexpectedly. I've now been with her close to 2 years and it's the best relationship I've ever had.

What's even better is I'm not that guy living in my parents basement, so on top of having my life together I've now got the girlfriend.

So the point is, if your not happy with your job, finances or other things in your life you should square that all away first before trying to spend all your time looking for that special someone.

Take some time to start learning from people who are successful. If you want to get into online business you should start following people like Pat Flynn, John Lee Dumas or Derek Halpern.

I also look up to a couple guys in the fitness niche such as Josh Spencer or Todd Warren.

If you have other interests, take the time to learn from those people and connect with as many people as you can.

Spend more time around friends and family who bring you up, don't let anyone tear you down through out this challenge or talk you out of becoming more successful.
