Through his endless search for greater awareness, award winning Poet of Sedona, Ya’ir "Christopher" Lane, has decided not to fight it anymore – poetry has him in it’s grip and he doesn’t care if it ever lets go. Be that as it may, Ya'ir "Christopher" still finds time to break free from it’s jaws and work on his book The Sweetest Part of the Bread (receiving the William Desmond Award from the Arizona Commission on the Arts in 2010), coach young poets from Sedona Red Rock High School every week at the Sedona Public Library, read classic poetry to Alzheimer’s patients in hopes of sparking memories for them and be a husband and father to two very percocious boys. In 2009 Mr. Lane received the City of Sedona Mayor’s Arts Award. He hopes you’ll share some of his cold brew coffee with him soon so there can be an exchange of metaphors. And he will only talk to those who speak of, and in, metaphors.
