  • Trust formulas2:12
Cofounder of CoveyLink and the FranklinCovey Global Speed of Trust Practice, Stephen M.R. Covey has established in his book "The Speed of Trust" a simple and meaningful formula that demonstrates the importance of trust in business and in our personal life as well. "Trust always affects two outcomes: speed and cost. When trust goes down, speed will also go down and costs will go up. When trust goes up, speed will also go up and costs will go down". Another simple formula can rely the level of maturity to trust: when people interact together, the more they are mature, the faster trust is established and the higher is the level of trust. In this case, maturity relies on each form of intelligence (SQ, EQ, IQ, PQ).
  • Radar of maturity2:10
Inspired from "The 8th Habit" written by Stephen R. Covey, the radar of maturity is a tool developed for personal growth. People can develop on each form of intelligence: SQ (spiritual intelligence), EQ (emotional intelligence), IQ (mental intelligence), and PQ (physical intelligence). An effective and well-balanced use of this tool consists in acquiring maturity on each form of intelligence, starting with SQ, the most important one. SQ enables to point in the right direction, IQ and EQ to understand whether you are pointing in the right direction, and PQ to move toward the right direction.
  • Character - Competence matrix1:44
Inspired from "The Speed of Trust" written by Stephen M.R. Covey, the character - competence matrix is a tool developed for self-assessment or to read in others. Effective leaders are both competent in their field and mature. Being competent (competence) means that you get the knowledge and expertise that enable you to perform well and deliver great results. Being mature (character) means that your intents are good and that you act accordingly to universal, timeless principles such as goodness, fairness, integrity, respect, loyalty, ethic, wisdom. Maturity means also that you have the mentality of abundance, that you consider others as well as yourself, in order to collaborate together peacefully. Wise choices reflect a mature character.
  • Vision - Mission matrix1:21
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. When you give a man a fish, he need you to eat. You make him dependent on you. But if you are not able anymore to give him a fish, as he is still dependent, the man could not eat anymore. So the impact over the long-term is terrible for the man. The vision - mission matrix is a tool developed to assess the leadership of an idea, a plan, or a decision, through two axes: vision and mission. You need a long-term vision to assess the impact of your choices over time and by helping people to be independent, you remove the risk over time. Leadership is about empowering people to help them being independent, so that they can provide for their own needs over the long-term.
  • Talker - Doer model1:34
Inspired from Stephen M.R. Covey and Andrew Carnegie, the talker - doer model is a tool developed for self-assessment or to assess others. The tool shows that we can assess people through two axis: talker (time spent in meeting) versus doer (time spent to produce).  Effective leaders have effective meetings to save time and spend most of their time to do, to produce, to make things real, to make things moving forward. They don't have time to overhype! You have to do, to produce, if you want to get the golden eggs. Meeting mania never produces golden eggs.
