Vitaly M. Golomb

Founder/CEO of Keen Systems – Consultant/Advisor to startups

Vitaly M. Golomb is an award-winning designer and a leading user experience and online marketing expert.  He consults and advises startups on product strategy, design, fund-raising and user acquisition. In early 2008, Vitaly started Keen Systems to bring the opportunities and efficiency of ecommerce to the almost entirely offline $640B world-wide commercial printing trade – the industry’s first multi-tenant SaaS solution.

From 2005 to 2010, Vitaly was the head of Sputnik Integrated, a full-service design and marketing agency with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Moscow Russia.  Under Vitaly’s leadership, the agency grew to a multi-million dollar run-rate while attracting world-class talent and landing projects with Electronic Arts, Evernote, FedEx, HP, LookSmart, Namco, Stanford University, Datran Media, Oakland Raiders and many startups.

Prior to Sputnik, Vitaly was the CEO of All Digital Printing & Graphics where he enacted a comprehensive turnaround strategy and sold the company in 2005.  He was a member of the early team at SpinCircuit, a supply chain management web service backed by HP, Cadence and Flextronics, where he oversaw user experience and a number of marketing initiatives.

Vitaly took an early interest in Bulletin Board Systems resulting in an internship at ParaGraph International as a pre-teen where he worked on an online student network predating the world wide web, as well as presenting the handwriting recognition technology best known for powering the Apple Newton.  By the age of 15, Vitaly was a professional graphic designer, soon working on a number of branding projects including major campaigns for Advanced Technology Solutions and Hitachi Data Systems.

Vitaly has guest lectured on web design and online marketing at Northwest Polytechnic University, Cal State Hayward and UC Berkeley.  He has also spoken on entrepreneurship and innovation at AlwaysOn Summit, Demo Conference, Stanford Global Technology Symposium, Jewish High Tech Society, Business Radio Network and Silicon Valley Innovation Institute.  He has consulted technology and service companies focused on the semantic web, public relations, consumer internet, performance marketing, data visualization, health, information technology and law enforcement.

Vitaly studied Communications at Santa Clara University and earned a BA in Computer and Video Imaging from Cogswell Polytechnical College.

Previously, Vitaly served as the Entrepreneurship Director for Silicon Valley Innovation Institute and served on the Board of Directors of the United Nations Association and Business Council of Silicon Valley.

In his down time, Vitaly enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, reading non-fiction, daily fitness, playing drums with local jazz and rock bands, motorcycle riding, and working towards his pilot license.
